Since 1965, The “Ichiban”moniker has been the common bond for all Vikings to revel in, while the cardinal red and silver grey have been the visible banner which we treasure and uphold in our support of this great school. The leadership and nurturing by former and current administrators, faculty and staff members have played a vital part in our individual growth and extended education. The friendships we forged and the good times we experienced continue to give us lifetime memories that we will forever cherish. William M. Raines National Alumni Association, Inc. Annual Alumni Golf Tournament
The William M. Raines High School Alumni Golf Tournament was started by the Class of 1979 but is open to all Alumni and Friends. The annual event presents scholarships to deserving graduates seeking to attend college.
Bob Hayes Invitational Track Meet
The Bob Hayes Invitational Track Meet, held at the University of North Florida, has long been a premier event for young athletes from across the country. Named after “Bullet Bob” Hayes, the legendary Florida A&M sprinter known for his dominance in the 60–100 yard races, this week-long competition showcases many of the nation’s top high school track and field teams. The meet also draws alumni from Raines and other participating schools, who return each year to take part in the week’s events.
Northwest Classic
This annual rivalry football game between Raines & Ribault High School boasts one of the largest tailgates in the Nation of any high school! Alumni from near and far gather in their school paraphernalia to cheer on their teams for bragging rights for the year! The weekend-long series of events and fun trash-talking helps to get the Alumni of both schools hyped up for the game! Raines leads the all-time series but Ribault never makes it easy! Experience the fun, the food and the fellowship!
