Capital Campaign

  • $250,000 Goal

PURPOSE

The William M. Raines National Alumni Association (WMRNAA) launched a capital campaign titled “Preserve The Foundation & Inspire Future Generations” on September 1, 2021, to raise $250,000 by December 31, 2026. This is an effort to support students at William M. Raines Senior High School academically and to further their educational careers at the collegiate, technical, and vocational levels.

Alumni, citizens, foundations and businesses throughout Jacksonville, national and international communities will have an opportunity to donate to this effort. Matching donations are encouraged. Donations should be made here on the WMRNAA website on the Give section (please indicate in the note section: Capital Campaign) or mail check directly to the association at P. O. Box 40088, Jacksonville FL 32203. Donations are tax-deductible.

“Dr. Andrew Robinson, the first Principal of William M. Raines High School, instilled academic excellence into the students during his tenure. Many of Raines earlier graduates (the foundation) went out into society and achieved unprecedented success in business, banking, educational, medical, legal, military and sports careers, to name a few. We have a responsibility to continue the expectation of excellence and to inspire future generations to do the same. We must also challenge future generations to contribute to society in meaningful and impactful ways once they leave Raines. Through this and other fundraising efforts, we will be reminded of the many successes of Raines, its students and the need to Keep Raines Relevant in Jacksonville and globally. We are one of only a handful of organized high school alumni associations in America, and we look forward to your support of our efforts and fundraising goals. “ – Venus Highsmith, President of The Board of Directors
